Islander Resort in Islamorada is such a fun spot for families on vacation! I love it when I hear from these families while they’re in town. It’s usually because they want to capture the memories of their family vacation at Islander Resort with a family photo shoot! And yes, I work with the entire family during these sessions! Oftentimes, when families come to the Florida Keys on vacation, it’s with their extended family as well. Grandparents, brothers, sisters, brand new baby cousins, brother-in-laws and sister-in-laws! Everyone!

My sessions last around 75 minutes, and that gives me plenty of time to work on a variety of shots and poses. All without rushing the family through their experience and without forcing anything. Littles especially need time to get comfortable with a stranger staring at them. Now imagine trying to direct them as they work through what exactly is going on. They need room to run around, have their familiar toys on hand, and, above all, play and have fun! It’s so critical to give them this space to explore and have fun, especially if you are looking for those authentic baby smiles and bubbly laughter that shows off their tiny budding teeth!

But, as you might expect, they both have very different personalities.
