This Islamorada Elopement Started as a Long-Distance Love Story

This Islamorada Elopement all began when Antonia and James fell in love, with an ocean between them!

Antonia is from the UK and James is a Florida native. After meeting and falling in love, Antonia felt as though she was leaving behind a piece of her heart each time she flew back home. Eventually, Antonia made the decision to look for a job in the US so that she could be with the love of her life. Once the big move was official, it wasn’t long before James popped the question!

The couple currently resides in Orlando, but they decided that they wanted their wedding to have a tropical, beachside vibe. When you live in Florida, it’s easy to make that happen by having an Islamorada Elopement! Islamorada is a small seaside village in Key Largo. With its white sands and all-encompassing views of the blue-green ocean, it’s a hot destination for local couples who want to say I do with an elopement-style wedding.

I loved working with Antonia & James on their intimate wedding day! It was just the two of them. Accordingly, their wedding day was filled with laughs, happy tears, plenty of kisses, and booty grabs! They added in small personal touches to make their day uniquely fun, and uniquely them! It started with a first look before walking down to the beach for their vows. Once they were pronounced, they popped open a bottle of festive blue bubbly and clinked their glasses in celebration.

As the sun began to set, I took them for a walk on the pier to wrap up their wedding portraits with the gorgeous pink sky behind them. But the way they finished their day was especially unique! They each sunk their teeth into some delicious donuts before a quick sugar-filled kiss that sealed their day!
