As an Islamorada Wedding Photographer, I love working at Islander Resort! Nicole & John’s navy & nautical-themed wedding was so fun and I’m sharing the details below!

My bride and groom were planning their wedding from a distance. I got to know Nicole and John the good old-fashioned way, over the phone! Doing this meant spending time chatting with Nicole from our initial consultation through to the last phases of her wedding planning process. Finalizing all of those oh-so-important details, including her photography timeline, all happened on the phone! Doing this allowed me to get to know my couple on a more personal level. When their wedding day arrived this meant I could focus on capturing the details I knew were most important to them! It also meant that I could easily place them in the best spots around Islander Resort in Islamorada for their portraits & their first look!

The furriest member of the family was included every step of the way!

My couple had their fur baby present for their beautiful first look and their portrait session. The furriest member of their family was aisle ready in a pawsitively picture-perfect moment. When my couple was announced as husband and wife he was on hand with a doggy grin from ear to ear! Nicole & John’s wedding color palette was a deep and nautical shade of navy. So their fur baby was dressed in a navy-colored handkerchief and a contrasting silver/blue bowtie.

Claudia invested time in us from the moment we sent an inquiry. She will leave nothing to chance and help you build your timeline around the whole event. Her experience will guide you through everything and help set expectations. I relied on her to suggest the best spots for our photos – she had shot at my venue location several times already, and if she hasn’t, she will take time out of her schedule to go scope it out! Claudia arrived early to set up and get a layout of where everyone was. She prompted small details during shooting such as head angle, arm placement, etc, things you wouldn’t think to worry about but will make your photos look great. Claudia was mindful of timing and we got everything done somehow through the whirlwind without delays. We couldn’t have gotten through it without her!
