An intimate elopement-style wedding at Cheeca Lodge & Spa in Islamorada!

Sometimes, all you need is the sand in your toes and the love of your life in order to say I do. That was Luise and Brad’s approach to their elopement style wedding in Islamorada at Cheeca Lodge & Spa!

Luise and Brad were on vacation in the Florida Keys from out of state when they decided to have their elopement ceremony at the Cross Palm Pathway at Cheeca Lodge. The Cross Palm Pathway truly lives up to its name! Picture staggering Florida Palm Trees in an “X” formation that creates a sandy path through lush rich tropical greenery! If you are looking for an intimate meets tropical location for your elopement ceremony in the Key Largo – this is definitely the spot for you!

On Luise and Brad’s wedding day, you could say that the weather wasn’t exactly cooperating! It had been raining all day (not unusual for South Florida!). But the weather broke long enough for them to host their ceremony outdoors. After the ceremony was over, the winds died down just enough to allow us to head over the pier and shoot some of their wedding portraits, which you’ll get to see below! The bride and groom later celebrated their intimate vows by having dinner together at Pierre’s Restaurant. The newlyweds were enjoying their stay at Cheeca Lodge & Spa so much that they decided to extend it!
